Health concerns

Do you know which material is your mouthpiece made of? Do you know which materials and chemical substances were used to produce your reed? Do you know if any of these could affect your health? How and how often do you clean your mouthpiece and reeds? How many hours do you keep them daily in your mouth?

To guarantee our product’s harmlessness is a non-negotiable requirement for us. Also, we want to raise awareness about how important is to know what we are putting inside our mouths. This is for reeds but also for mouthpieces. Actually, there’s a lot of information about materials and their effects in our health, we just need to know which materials were used in our equipment.

Our reeds are made of PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate), an FDA approved material. This material is also used in dentures, among other uses. It is a completely harmless material. It does not contain the potentially harmful bisphenol-A subunits found in polycarbonate.
